SlantedScience’s Monday Tongue: The Sun Bear

Monday mornings: a time for quietly contemplating the upcoming week’s trials and tribulations, then deciding to do nothing about them until Tuesday.
And, in our opinion, a great time for pictures of tongues. Join us after the jump for this beauty: a foot-long hunk o’ Sun Bear lovin’…
We kick off the Monday tongue with a real beauty. The fella below is a Sun Bear, the smallest of all bears.
In body size, that is: just check out his gargantuan glossa.

Below is another shot of the big boy, shown now in his “thoughtful” pose.

See that, ladies? Sensitive guy, with a foot long tongue. If he can hold his breath for a half hour, then we know several of you who’d be willing to put up with those claws tearing holes in their bedsheets.
