“Oceans For Pathi” Renamed: It’s Now “Oceans”, It’s By Disney, And It’s Out In April
We reported back in December 2009 that there was quite the buzz about an upcoming film called “Oceans For Pathi“. It was reported to be a mind-blowing piece of cinematography, which had taken years to make and which used novel techniques (such as remote-controlled helicopters with cameras attached) to document the oceanic world in ways never seen before.
Well, it turns out that Disney have acquired the film’s rights, and are going to be releasing it this year using the new title, “Oceans“.
The release date is scheduled to be April 22nd this year, which – not coincidentally – is World Earth Day and also the anniversary of Disney’s previous mega-scale nature documentary, Earth. We’re guessing next year will be Air, then maybe Underground, but after that…? What other realms of bizarre and unseen life-forms are there on this planet of ours?
We humbly suggest that Disney go with “Down The Back Of SlantedScience’s Sofa“, because we’re pretty sure there are things going on in there which mankind needs to know about.

Anyway, below is the HD trailer for this movie. There is also a ton of information available from Disney themselves, accessed here. We will have one of our team in the theater on its day of release, to let you know how it turns out. Our guess right now: phenomenal.
